GERI DIGIORNO PRIZE GUIDELINES

NOTE ON SUBMITTING MULTI-GENRE

The contents of each submission can be either:

• 2 poems and a work of visual art (Possible Cover Inclusion) created by one person.
  
• 2 poems and a work of flash nonfiction (1000 word max on the flash nonfiction) created by one person.

• 2 poems and a studio quality song track created by a singer/songwriter.
  
• 1 poem and 1 work of visual art and 1 work of flash nonfiction and/or one original studio track created by one singer/songwriter.
  
• All submission materials must be created by one person. No need to list editors, bandmates, or sound engineers within the submission. Credits may be added at a later time.
  
• Submitting flash nonfiction and visual art is also now allowed, as long as at least two different genres are represented.
  
• Newly created collages must be transformative from the parts incorporated within the new work. Ideally, visual collages should be created solely by the artist submitting the work.
  Visual Artists should be prepared with a high-resolution version of their files upon
  their work's acceptance to the magazine (large dimension png set at 300 dpi).

DIGIORNO CONTEST READERS INCLUDE: the Editors of Raleigh Review.

OPTIONAL CONTEST ENTRY FEE via Submittable is $10.

Also, no fees and tips are optional via Duosuma.

GRAND PRIZE: 

$100. 

*Radio Plugger Perk: An optional song submission for radio airplay for a singer/songwriter.

*Digiorno Prize Perk: possible inclusion in the Petaluma Poetry Walk events in California. 

*The $100 is the only guaranteed grand prize. Radio plugging depends on factors outside our control and belongs to the radio stations. We will assist with the submission and if accepted for plugging, we will cover the initial cost to employ a radio plugging team.

FURTHER GUIDANCE on SUBMISSIONS to the DIGIORNO PRIZE

• Deadline is June 1, every odd year.
  
• We are looking for the multi-talented ones and each entry must be completely created by one person.
  
• Submissions are only accepted via Duosuma and Submittable.
  
• Attached files should be free of personal identifiers such as name, address, phone and email, social media handles, etc. 
  
• Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. If one or more work is selected for publication by another magazine, please leave a note on your submission via Duosuma or Submittable.
  
• Please note, we do not consider work that has been previously published.
• Multiple entries are acceptable.
• Failure to meet guidelines may result in disqualification.
  

• This contest is open to poets, writers & artists who reside in the USA (regardless of immigration status).

• Those based outside the USA are most welcome to submit to this prize though the payment for any winners who happen to be based outside the USA will be in copies of Raleigh Review since we are not permitted to mail checks outside our own country.
